WMDT’s Kindness Tip Of the Day for Feb. 16

SALISBURY, Md. – This week is Random Acts of Kindness Week from KindSBY.

There are no limits to kindness, big or small you can make a difference in someone’s day and that can ripple outwards. Maybe they even do the same.

Today, KindSBY held a morning cheer squad where Salisbury University students cheered on arriving students. In the spirit of cheering someone on, today’s Kindness Tip of the Day, brought to you by Schell Brothers, is to provide words of encouragement to someone.

You can leave a hand written note, send someone you know a text or give them a call. Or simply tell a complete stranger a few words of encouragement. This can be as simply as telling someone “you’re doing great.” A friendly word of encouragement, especially if you notice someone is nervous or anxious, can go a long way to helping us all face our day just a little bit better. You never know — you might just make someone’s day.

You never know when that extra word of encouragement could make someone face their day a little bit braver, a little bit stronger and a little bit kinder.
