UPDATE: Beebe Healthcare Reopens Majority of Care Sites

UPDATE: Beebe Healthcare has announced re-openings for a majority of their care sites on Wednesday, Feb. 25.

All Beebe Healthcare locations will open with normal operations, with the exception of the Millsboro and Georgetown Health Centers. The following services at those locations will be closed:

  • Lab Express Millsboro and Georgetown
  • Beebe Imaging Millsboro and Georgetown
  • Physical Rehabilitation Georgetown
  • Center for Weight Loss Surgery
  • Beebe Primary Care Millsboro Dupont Blvd and Georgetown
  • Beebe Walk-In Care Georgetown

Power has been restored to Beebe Walk-In Care Millsboro on Dupont Boulevard. Walk-In Care services are being moved inside the building instead of the Mobile Health Clinic, where they were previously being diverted. Available walk-in care services for patients include illnesses and injuries for those in need of non-emergent, same-day care.

Patients are still encouraged to use the “On My Way” online check-in feature through the MyChart app to help streamline their visit.

LEWES, Del. — Beebe Healthcare officials have activated a 24/7 command center and implemented service changes as a significant winter storm is expected to impact the region Sunday into Monday.

Leaders said they have been meeting for the past 48 hours to prepare for heavy snowfall and hazardous travel conditions forecast by the National Weather Service. Additional updates will be shared on Beebe’s website and social media platforms.

Beebe’s emergency departments in Lewes and Millville will remain open 24 hours a day, along with inpatient services at the Margaret H. Rollins Lewes Campus. Officials said preparations are underway to maintain safe conditions both inside and outside all facilities.

“We thank our dedicated team members who remain committed to providing 24/7 care for Sussex County,” the health system said in a statement, urging residents to take the storm seriously as conditions are expected to become dangerous.

Closures and Service Changes

Walk-In Care Centers in Rehoboth Beach, Millsboro, Georgetown, Milton and Millville will close at 4 p.m. Sunday.

All outpatient locations will be closed Monday, including:

  • BMG primary, specialty and walk-in care offices

  • Cancer centers

  • Lab, imaging and physical rehabilitation services

  • Cape Pharmacy

  • Beebe Wound Care

  • Beebe Outpatient Surgery Center

  • Specialty Surgical Hospital

  • Cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation

  • Community outreach programs

All elective surgeries, procedures and tests scheduled for Monday — including those at the Lewes campus — are being postponed. Care teams are contacting affected patients directly.

Patients who have not received communication regarding a scheduled Monday appointment may call 302-645-3300 to be routed to the appropriate department.

Virtual Care Options

Primary and specialty care appointments are being rescheduled or converted to telemedicine visits when clinically appropriate.

Virtual Walk-In Care visits will be available through MyChart from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday. Patients can log in via the MyChart app or desktop site, select “Schedule an Appointment,” then choose “Virtual Walk-In Care Visit” and complete pre-appointment registration. Patients will be placed in a visit queue and notified by text message when their appointment begins. A device with a camera is required.

Officials said they will continue monitoring the storm and provide updates as conditions evolve.
