Traffic, Parking Changes Coming to TidalHealth Amid Construction

SALISBURY, Md. – TidalHealth Peninsula Regional is implementing temporary parking and traffic changes starting Monday, Feb. 23.

The changes are being made in support of the construction of a new observation unit adjacent to the Robert T. Adkins, M.D. Emergency/Trauma Center. Officials say that as construction progresses, parking availability and traffic patterns on campus will change in phases. A portion of West Vine Street between Waverly Drive and Patterson Road will be blocked and limited to a single lane of traffic in one direction. Further, West Vine will be periodically closed during construction from February through early fall. The Emergency Department will remain open and fully accessible throughout construction. Patients can continue to reach the Frank B. Hanna Main Entrance, although routes may be temporarily adjusted.

“We appreciate our community’s patience and flexibility as we complete this important expansion and remind them to be careful and cautious near the construction area,” said Scott Phillips, TidalHealth’s vice president of Supply Chain and Support Services. “This project will enhance emergency services capacity and strengthen our ability to provide safe, high-quality care.”

Parking availability may change during various phases of the project. Visitors should follow posted detours, signage and staff direction upon arrival, or check TidalHealth’s website for the latest construction updates.
