Four Units Evacuated During Condominium Building Fire in Rehoboth

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company (RBVFC) responded to a structure fire at Creekwood Condominiums on Wednesday night.

Around 8:10 p.m. on Feb. 18, crews responded to a report of a structure fire in a two-story condominium building off of Coastal Highway. Upon arrival on the scene, crews found fire along the exterior wall. Four units were evacuated and the fire was quickly extinguished, including a minor extension into one of the units. No injuries were reported with this incident.

RBVFC was assisted on scene by Lewes Fire Department, and received coverage from the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company during the response. Delmarva Power responded quickly to disconnect power to a bank of meters that appeared to be the center of the fire.

The Delaware State Fire Marshals Office is investigating.
