UPDATE: Hazmat Resources Unit gives the ‘all clear’ after hazardous materials incident in Easton
UPDATE: As of 10:03 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, the Hazmat Resources Unit has given the “all clear” and Easton Police Department is working on reopening Brookletts Avenue as quickly as possible.
EASTON, Md. – The Easton Police Department is investigating a hazardous materials incident Friday night.
Police say it happened in the 500 block of Brookletts Avenue.
The road is currently closed from Tred Avon Avenue to South Aurora Street.
Police are recommending all residents nearby shelter in place until the situation is resolved.
The State Fire Marshals Office and Hazmat resources are assisting on scene.
