Delmarva Shorebirds Hosting Job Fair Saturday

(SALISBURY, Md) – While warmer weather may still be a ways away, the Delmarva Shorebirds are getting ready for their opening day.

The Baltimore Orioles’ Single-A affiliate is hosting their job fair this weekend to fill numerous roles both on and off the field this coming season.

The teams’ Assistant General Manager says getting teens and young adults their first jobs is helping to set them up for the future.

“This is their first job, and then when they come back to a game, once they’re an adult and into the, I’ll say, the real world. They always got to come back and say, ‘you know, I remember when I was a bat boy, here I was when the flock here worked in the amusements areas or in parking, whatever. And the positive aspects of this had,” says Assistant GM, Jimmy Sweet.
