Crisfield Arts and Entertainment Talks New Theater
(CRISFIELD, Md) – The Crisfield Arts and Entertainment Council planning on bringing a new theater to the city.
The goal is for the theater to welcome in traveling production companies to help revitalize Crisfield’s arts scene.
They’re also wanting to do more with the space as an attachment to Gallery 413.
Arts and Entertainment District Board Chairman, Brian Sutherland says he hopes the new theater can help growing artists gain exposure.
“We’re going to get instruments donated. So they’ll be playing, learning how to play different instruments and maybe start forming bands in the, in the community. And, just about every aspect of arts and entertainment will be a part of the Gallery 413…” says Sutherland.
The funding for the theater is provided by the Maryland State Arts Council.
