City of Salisbury Opens Application for Summer Work Program

(SALISBURY, Md) – School might still be in session for Salisbury area students, but the city is looking for some of the best and brightest.

The City of Salisbury is currently accepting applications for their Youth Summer Work program for high school sophomores and up.

Over 90 students have applied to take part in an eight week program, but only around a dozen will get to take part.

And a program like this can help to get high school students ready to enter the workforce a little earlier.

“They come on and they work part time for us in various departments, for eight weeks. We also do, a little bit of an educational program with them as well, in partnership with Junior Achievement to give them some of those, career skills…” says City Community Relations Manager, Rachel Manning.

If your child is interested in signing up for the city’s summer work program, you can visit the City of Salisbury’s website.
