Charlie Paparella on Being a Musician
SALISBRUY, Md. – In this week’s edition of Back on the Road with Charlie Paparella, brought to you by Furniture & More Gone Coastal, Charlie tells us his favorites aspects of being a musician.
“You know, you can practice music for years on end, but if you really want to be good, you need to play for a live audience,” Charlie says. “There are hundreds of audiences scattered around the peninsula, and playing for them can make you ten times better. There are places where old folks like me gather together for meals, companionship and fun. Most welcome musicians and are a grateful and enthusiastic audience.”
Charlie reflected on how he enjoys playing at many venues, from churches to nursing homes.
“And every artist needs an audience. That’s the way it goes,” he says.
