Brush Fire Spreads to Garage, Vehicle in Wicomico Co.
SALISBURY, Md. – The Parsonsburg Volunteer Fire Company responded to a brush fire that got out of control on Tuesday afternoon.
At 2:31 p.m. on Feb. 10, crews responded to Twilley’s Bridge Road after a passerby reported a fire. The Salisbury Fire Department and other local companies responded to fire. In total, 50 firefighters worked to put out the blaze in 20 minutes.
During the fire, a 30 foot by 40 foot garage, a vehicle, and 1.5 acres of brush were damaged. The total value of the damage to the property and its contents is estimated to be $16,000.
The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal ruled the fire as accidental in nature, and the result of a previously burning brush fire spreading.
