Art League of Ocean City Welcomes Artist Devon Hall
OCEAN CITY, Md. — The Art League of Ocean City is welcoming artist Devon Hall to their Studio E Exhibit for the month of February.
This month, The Art League is honoring black history and creative excellence, amplifying voices just like Hall’s. A Baltimore-based artist and tattooer, Hall’s work blends realism, calligraphy, and animation to explore emotions, relationships, and more. He describes himself as a storyteller, and much of his work is inspired by the cartoons, manga, and anime he watched growing up.
“We are living in a time now where there’s a light at the end of every tunnel. If you’re willing to put in the effort to get there, you can get there,” Hall said.
In the past four years, Hall has focused on shaping the message he wants to say with his art. He said he wants to inspire disadvantaged youth who are searching for their passions and hoping to see a brighter future for themselves. “As long as you keep that spark in your brain, and you keep that belief that ‘if I keep going, I’ll get there’ you will get there. You’re capable of finding something, finding your lane, and making it out, or making a positive outcome out of the situation.”
