Water main break leads to temporary closure of Winding Way

SALISBURY, Md. — A section of Winding Way will be closed Thursday while the City of Salisbury conducts a water main repair as part of ongoing maintenance to its water distribution system.

The Department of Waterworks Utilities Division said the work will take place in the 900 block of Winding Way, requiring the road to be closed to through traffic between South Schumaker Drive and Schumaker Lane. The closure is expected to last until about 3:30 p.m., depending on conditions.

City officials said utility locators and Central Alarm have been notified of the scheduled repair and asked motorists and residents to remain patient during the maintenance.
