UPDATE: Victim Identified in Fatal Pedestrian Crash
UPDATE: The Milford Police Department has identified 81-year-old Marie Therese Santilma of Magnolia as the female who died in the fatal pedestrian crash on Jan. 19.
The crash remains under investigation.
MILFORD, Del. – The Milford Police Department is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred Monday morning.
On Jan. 19 at 6:32 a.m., police responded to North Rehoboth Boulevard in the area of Perdue Farms. Authorities say a 2024 BMW X3 was travelling northbound when, for unknown reasons, an 81-year-old female pedestrian entered the travel lane and was struck by the BMW.
The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her name is being withheld until her family is notified.
The 75-year-old driver did not sustain any injuries in the accident.
