Sea Gulls can’t keep pace with 3rd-ranked Mary Washington

SALISBURY, Md. – #3 Mary Washington men’s basketball outpaced Salisbury University 91-62 at Maggs Gym Wednesday night.

The home team started hot, quickly building an 11-4 lead before the first media timeout. From the 16:38 mark of the first half, the visiting Eagles outscored Salisbury by 24 to take a 47-30 advantage into the break.

The Sea Gulls drew as close as 15 in the second half, but the advantage in the back end of the game again tilted in the direction of Mary Washington, with the Eagles growing their lead to as much as 31 in the closing minutes of the game.

Salisbury men’s basketball has dropped three straight to fall to 10-10 on the season.

The Sea Gulls will go on the road to take on Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday, February 7 at noon.
