Salisbury Zoo Forum was a roar

SALISBURY, Md. — Last night the Salisbury Zoo hosted its first ever public forum at Parkside High school.

Organizers said the forum helps build the zoo’s strategic plan. Zoo Director Chuck Eicholz said he wants to make sure that guests are happy with the facility. They discussed trying to get their AZA Accreditation as a part of their five-year plan. They are also looking to hear from the community on what animals they want to see come to the zoo.

Eicholz said, “We are requesting that nobody request any giraffes or no lions or anything like that because we definitely don’t have the space for that. We’ve got; our green arrow saris just put on habitat today. Which are really, really, really cool. They’re little mini toucans. The red foot tortoises are there and then the stocking monkeys will be coming in the springtime.”

If you missed the forum last night, the Zoo’s link is available for the next two weeks on their website.
