Pocomoke boy’s basketball hands Parkside first Bayside loss of the season
POCOMOKE CITY, Md. – Pocomoke boy’s basketball beat Parkside 62-57 Monday night in Pocomoke City to hand the Rams their first Bayside loss of the 2025-26 season.
The Warriors led for much of the game, though Parkside always stayed within striking distance, rarely–if ever–letting the lead grow to beyond two scores.
A 28-23 Pocomoke lead at the half became a 44-41 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Trailing by three with under three minutes to play, Parkside’s Zy’Mir Moss rattled off back-to-back threes that gave the Rams the lead at 55-52, their first lead since 9-7 in the first quarter.
Pocomoke found their response on the following possession in the form of a Lamarquis Douglas step-back three that knotted the game at 55.
From there, it was Jayden Mason closing out the game for the Warriors, scoring the team’s final seven points down the stretch including shooting five-of-six from the free throw line.
