One Injured After Early Morning Shooting in Dover

DOVER, Del. – The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured one in the early hours of Monday morning.

At 3:55 a.m. on Jan. 12, police responded to a unit block on South Governors Avenue in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival on the scene, police contacted two victims who advised that they were shot at by two unknown suspects. A third victim, a 24-year-old man from Dover, was transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus with a gunshot wound to his lower body.

This incident follows a similar shooting that occurred on Nov. 30, 2025 in the same location. Police have not connected these incidents, and have no leads to release at this time.
