Milton PD Arrest Man Connected with Multiple Thefts

Malik Aiken

MILTON, Del. – The Milton Police Department has closed two theft investigations after arresting a man last week.

On Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, police arrested 25-year-old Malik Aiken on charges of third degree burglary, possession of burglar tools, and theft over and under $1500.

Police connected Aiken to multiple theft reports made on Dec. 18, 2025, at the Cypress Grove Apartment Complex. The first report came through at 6:30 a.m., when a Milwaukee power tool had been stolen from an unfinished garage building. Later that day, at approximately 10:30 a.m., the department received a call for a residential burglary within the same complex. The same officer responded and discovered that this burglary had occurred around 5:30 a.m.

Through an investigation, police were able to determine that a suspect, later identified as Aiken, used a lock-pick to enter the unoccupied apartment, disabled the security cameras, and stole items from within. He then entered the unfinished garage on the property, where he stole the Milwaukee power tool left by a construction crew. Officers located the power tool discarded and undamaged in a wooded area in Lincoln. It has since been returned to the construction crew.

Aiken was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $7,000 cash bond.
