Fight at Cambridge South Dorchester High Draws Police Response
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) responded to an incident at Cambridge South Dorchester High School on Tuesday morning.
Deputies responded to the school after the School Resource Deputy (SRD) requested additional authorities. The SRD sought assistance after locating a large, unruly crowd surrounding an altercation involving multiple students.
Responding DCSO units were assisted by the Cambridge Police Department and the Maryland State Police. Upon their arrival, the situation reportedly quickly deescalated.
School administration officials, in coordination with the DCSO, is continuing to investigate the incident. Disciplinary action has been taken by the school, and juvenile referrals were completed for the individuals involved. Normal operations at the school resumed a short time later.
