ESLC Announces 457 Acre Land Easement
(TRAPPE, Md) – A major plot of land in Talbot County will be protected forever thanks to an agreement with Eastern Shore Land Conservancy.
The Land Conservancy announced Tuesday morning the conservation of over 450 acres of land in Trappe belonging to Goose Chase Farms.
The new easement includes protecting over a mile of the Choptank River, as well as wildlife and the farmlands.
David Satterfield with the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy talks about how big of an easement it is with the numerous biomes.
“We are preserving habitat that helps maintain wildlife that spreads through all the different farms that are in the area and go to places like parks, where there is public access. We’re preserving water frontage for people who are boating on the charming River, to enjoy the views,” says Satterfield.
This land easement closes out the 35th anniversary for the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy.
