DSP Vehicle Theft Investigation Leads to Arrest of Two Men, One Juvenile
SUSSEX COUNTY, Md. – The Delaware State Police have arrested three individuals on various felony charges after conducting a week-long vehicle theft investigation.
Authorities say their investigation began after learning unknown suspects had stolen or attempted to steal several vehicles from residential driveways in the Blades, Bridgeville, Laurel, and Seaford areas. Police determined some of the vehicles were unlocked at the time of theft, while others were locked and stolen without the use of the keys. Most of the vehicles stolen were KIA and Hyundai models, and some have been recovered at this time. With help from the public, detectives identified 22-year-old Antwoine Savage of Seaford and a 16-year-old of Bridgeville as the main suspects connected with the vehicle theft. Warrants were subsequently obtained for their arrests.
On Friday, Jan. 16, members of the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force (GTF) responded to a residence on the 12000 block of Jones Dogwood Drive in Bridgeville to conduct a search for Savage and the teenager. Upon arrival on the scene, authorities located the 16-year-old standing in the front yard and took him into custody without incident. Detectives later found and contacted Savage at the residence; he was also taken into custody without incident.
While searching the property for Savage, detectives located 20-year-old probationer Lamir Faison of Bridgeville in a shed. While speaking with Faison, they observed drug paraphernalia in the shed, and he was detained without incident.
At the request of GTF, Probation and Parole responded and conducted an administrative search of the shed where Faison was staying. During the search, probation officers found the following items:
- Multiple caliber rifle
- Lower receiver of a multiple caliber rifle
- Approximately 4.53 grams of heroin
- Drug paraphernalia with cocaine residue
- Digital scale
- Pyrex container with cocaine residue

All three individuals were taken to Troop 4 for processing.
