Dorchester Co. Opens Bids for New Disc Golf Course

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – In Dorchester County, plans are moving forward to bring new facilities to one local park.

Dorchester County Recreation and Parks is accepting bids as they prepare to build an 18 hole disc-golf course at New Egypt Road Park in Cambridge.

The county held a pop-up tournament last year to gauge the interest in bringing a disc-golf course to Cambridge.

And the community’s interest in the sport has the department excited to open up for bids.

“And just from the feedback that we got from these pop up tournament is they’re ready for it. They would like for us to implement this golf course here in Nature Park. And I think it’s going to benefit, not just Dorchester County, but surrounding counties here,” says Recreation and Parks Director, Duc Trieu.

The county is accepting bids through January 30th.
