DOVER, Del. — The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of nonprofit Do Care Doula Foundation’s new location on Saturday.

The Do Care Doula Foundation’s new location sits on Loockerman Street in Dover and will house the nonprofit’s food and basic needs pantry, diaper bank, and overall operations. The organization provides holistic maternal health support for families during pregnancy, birth, and well beyond.

Executive Director Erica Allen said that after nearly five years in business, they are helping fill a critical gap in resources for expecting and postpartum mothers in need.

“We have a dedicated space to store all the food, diapers, hygiene products, and period supplies that we provide to the community. We also were able to purchase commercial freezers and refrigerators, which is a gamechanger because now we can provide milk, eggs, and butter to the community,” Allen said.
