Dagsboro PD Make Arrest in Disabled Home Theft Investigation
DAGSBORO, Del. – The Dagsboro Police Department (DPD) arrested a woman on Friday after conducting a months-long theft investigation.
On Jan. 16, police arrested 50-year-old Patty Gray of Bishopville on charges of crimes against a vulnerable adult, theft greater than $1500, identity theft, and related crimes. She was arraigned and released on her own recognizance. Gray is ordered to have no contact with the victim in this case.
In Nov. 2025, DPD responded to the area of Swamp Road and Lingo Street following a fraud report. Officers determined that the victim, an adult with disabilities, had personal property unlawfully taken from their possession. Authorities say the victim resides in a supervised group home and is considered a vulnerable adult under state law.
Detectives continue to investigate this incident. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Detective A. Valenti at (302) 732-3777, or submit tips anonymously through Delaware Crime Stoppers.
