Cambridge Clean Up

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – The City of Cambridge is preparing to build a new pump station to help with maintaining their sewer system.

This comes after the city announced that earlier in the week, a minor overflow caused sewage to leak on to Water Street.

Cambridge has been focusing on upgrading their sewer system the last couple of years, with their Trenton Street Pump Station being the next project.

“Trent Street pump station is 93 years old. It’s past its service life. And, we’ve gotten the funds, now to available to us to go out and build a new Trenton Street pump station, essentially,” says Cambridge City Manager, Glenn Steckman.

Steckman says the city will be making a decision regarding the new Trenton Street pump station in February.
