Charlie Paparella is Back on the Road
SALISBURY, Md. – Back on the Road with Charlie Paparella, brought to you by Furniture & More Gone Coastal, is a new special coming to Good Morning Delmarva on Tuesdays.
This week, Charlie stopped by our station and caught up with his longtime friend and WMDT News Director, Joe Carmean. He serenaded Carmean with his handy guitar as the two discussed why Charlie is coming back to our screens.
“I’m very excited about it,” Charlie said, now ready to bring soul to the studio every week. “The place where I really like to play, is places where people have nothing else to do… I play in nursing homes all the time, and play in churches.”
He demonstrated his talents by sharing a new song with Carmean, and it went a little something like this:
“I don’t want to be rich, no I don’t want to be rich,
No it ain’t money, honey, for which I’ve got an itch,
I don’t need a lot of bread, it’ll mess up my little head,
I know which is which, nay, even if I could switch,
I wouldn’t want to be rich.”
