Car Crash Temporarily Shuts Down East Trap Pond Road

GEORGETOWN, Del. – The Georgetown Fire Company and EMS responded to a car crash that left downed wires on Saturday evening.

At 5:14 p.m. on Jan. 3, crews responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of East Trap Pond Road and Dusty Road. Upon arrival on the scene, crews located a red pickup truck that had collided with a utility pole, subsequently knocking it down.

East Trap Pond Road was closed in both directions for an extended period of time while crews worked to restore power in the area. No injuries were reported in relation to this incident.
