Cambridge police Pushing for Increase to ShotSpotter Cameras

 

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – The Cambridge Police Department is looking to increase their number of security cameras to help with tracking criminal suspects.

The Police Department has been using cameras from the company ShotSpotter to catch reckless drivers.

Police Chief, Justin Todd says they’re optimistic about installing more cameras to track suspects beyond their cars.

“We’ve had cameras up throughout the city for several years now. We continue to add to our cameras, that with our ShotSpotter technology, that I spoke about a lot before. It helps us. And, being able to track down,” says Chief todd.

He recommends the city of Cambridge to install ShotSpotter cameras throughout the city.
