Cambridge PD Investigating Attempted Burglary

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – The Cambridge Police Department (CPD) is investigating an attempted burglary that took place late Saturday night.

On Jan. 17 at 11:51 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Muir Street for the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival on the scene, they contacted the victim, who reported that a suspect attempted to gain entry into the building using a sledgehammer.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set Caucasian male, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with black lettering on the back. He was last seen crossing Muir Street to enter a parking lot out of view.
