Cambridge Offering Christmas Tree Disposal

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – The City of Cambridge is helping people properly dispose of their Christmas trees.

Throughout the month of January, the city is offering residents the opportunity to properly dispose of their real trees.

They are just asking that any objects like decorations and lights be removed in order to help with breaking down the trees.

City Manager, Glenn Steckman says this helps to make sure the trees are recycled back in to nature.

“It’s a city benefit. We just don’t want people to throw trees and drop them on the roadside. We want to make sure our town is clean and we in and this is a service we’re providing for our residents, for those who have live trees in their homes.”

Tree disposal will run through January 31st.
