Art League of Ocean City Calls on Young Artists
OCEAN CITY, Md. — The Art League of Ocean City is calling on young artists to submit their work for their annual youth art show.
The Shirley Hall Youth Art Show is held every spring to uplift young artists in Worcester County. The Art League will be accepting submissions from February 22nd to the 28th — students can drop off their entries in person at 502 94th Street.
The show is open to all middle and high school students in Worcester County, including public, private, and homeschooled students. “This year, we’re going to have $300 in cash prizes. The show opens on our first Friday, so people can come out the first Friday of March to see the work — it will be hanging all month long. We’re looking forward to meeting some of the kids and the families and inspiring them to continue their artistic pursuits,” Executive Director of the Art League Rina Thaler said.
Artwork must be original and created within the past year. Drawings, paintings, collages, photographs, mixed media, etchings, and more will be accepted.
