Worcester County Public Schools offering winter break meals
WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. – Worcester County Public Schools is offering help for hungry students over the holidays. Meals will be distributed throughout the county on December 30th and 31st.
The locations include Buckingham Elementary, Snow Hill Elementary, and Pocomoke Middle School. WCPS Coordinator of Food Services, Odtis Collins, said helping students in need is a priority for the county.
“That is one of our biggest drivers and focus to make sure kids are still receiving meals when schools are closed. We are actually preparing meals 100 meals each day per location. Students must be present to receive a hot lunch, and we actually want to give them a hot breakfast for the following day as well.”
The distribution takes place 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. It’s open to all Worcester County Public School Students.
Meals will be packaged as carryout.
