1280 Easton High School Fire

EASTON, Md. – Three students have been arrested following a fight that broke out at Easton High School on Wednesday morning.

At 11:18 a.m. on Dec. 17, school staff and the School Resource Officer (SRO) were alerted to a physical altercation in the main hallway. The altercation reportedly began when two female students started fighting. A third female student joined in the conflict shortly after.

The altercation escalated when numerous students in the hallway joined, with some attempting to help school staff separate the three female students. The students were eventually separated, with one student escorted to the main office while the other two students remained in the hallway with security and the SRO. Authorities say the two students in the hallway attempted to run from staff and the SRO to enter the main office in an attempt to assault the third student a second time.

Additional deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist school staff with maintaining order and preventing any further disturbances. All three juveniles were referred to the Department of Juvenile Services for charges and were released to their guardians.
