The Ocean Pines Fire Department with a couple of fundraiser raffles

OCEAN PINES, Md. – The Ocean Pines Fire Department is looking to raise some funds. The department is participating in the Maryland 50/50 raffle each Thursday.

The raffle ends on Thursday, December 18th 2025, at 8 p.m.

One of the departments involved will receive the huge jackpot, which is already at $188,000.

There is also the Jeep Wrangler raffle by the department. It will end on Saturday, December 20th. The winner will get the car with titles, fees, and taxes covered by the department.

President Joe Enste says this all helps with community engagement, and helps the department thrive.

“We actually have a lot of success when we’re out doing fundraising events. Meeting new people who come from other places, and finding out that they have a background in the fire services. Or they always wanted to be in the fire service, and then we can have those conversations on what it looks like to become a member at the Ocean Pines Fire Department or one of the departments in the area.”
