Smyrna Man Arrested on Fifth DUI

DOVER, Del. – The Delaware State Police arrested a Smyrna man on his fifth DUI offense on Monday night.

At 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 15, troopers were dispatched to the area of Fast Landing Road and East Denneys Road following reports of a disabled vehicle. Troopers arrived to the scene and located a Dodge Grand Caravan stopped in the middle of the road. Troopers say they spoke with the driver, later identified as 62-year-old Bryan Debello. Officers observed signs of impairment while speaking with the driver, and Debello reportedly believed he was parked at a boat ramp.

Troopers learned his Debello’s licence was suspended, and he was subsequently taken into custody. A computer search showed Debello had four prior DUI convictions.

Debello was charged with related traffic offenses and released on a $6,051.00 unsecured bond.
