Shooting at Jefferson Apartments Injures Juvenile; Lewes PD Investigating

LEWES, Del. – The Lewes Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured a juvenile in the early hours of Friday morning.

On Nov. 28, officers were alerted to multiple shots fired at Jefferson Apartments on Kings Highway. Upon arrival on the scene, police learned that an unknown suspect fired numerous shots at a single apartment building. A juvenile located inside the apartment sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Police say this incident remains under investigation, and that they are currently following numerous leads.

Authorities believe this was a targeted shooting incident and that other members of the public were not and are not at risk.
