Plans for former Moe’s Southwest Grill

Salisbury, Md. – The Moe’s Southwest Grill located in 109-B Hampshire Road is permanently closed, much to the disappointment of several residents.

However, new plans are firming up for the former restaurant. Officials from SVN-Miller Commercial Real Estate, the managers of the site, said it wasn’t producing the numbers needed in order to be fiscally stable.

After some months, they had to shut it down and are putting up the property for lease, said Associate Advisor at SVN-Miller Commercial Real Estate Dylan Mezick.

Mezick said he has seen online chatter hoping for more popular franchises to come to the community through the space.

“They’re looking for these national brands that Salisbury doesn’t currently have, which, you know, we would love to bring in and introduce a concept like that to the community,” he said.

Though he said that no one has come forward to inquire about the space.

“I mean, we are in talks in an active campaign to share this space with those businesses so everyone has an equal chance,” he said adding that the process is meant for small and national franchises to get an opportunity to inquire after leasing the space.

SVN Miller is asking for public feedback on what could potentially move into the building in the future.
