Perdue Donates a Truckload of Cheer

SALISBURY, Md. — Perdue’s Salisbury locations donated a truckload of gifts to the Salvation Army Friday afternoon to support its Angel Tree Program. The donation included bikes, clothing, toys, and more.

The gifts will benefit more than 500 children in Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset counties. It’s part of Perdue’s “Delivering Hope for Our Neighbors” initiative. Kim Nechay, executive director of the Perdue Foundation, said the annual donation is crucial to the program’s success.

“The associates of Perdue have really big hearts, and we know there is a big need in our community. With a wish list of 1,100 children registered with the Salvation Army, our associates were able to fulfill the wishes of 538 kids. That’s just so generous. We’re so proud of our associates for stepping up and addressing this need,” Nechay said.

Perdue also donated 1,000 chicken roasters to families in need.
