Pair Arrested for Stealing Vehicle, Drug Charges

SEAFORD, Del. – The Delaware State Police arrested a man and woman in connection with a stolen vehicle and drug offenses on Tuesday evening.

On Dec. 16 at 8:15 p.m., a trooper observed a 2009 Lincoln MKS traveling on Concord Road. The vehicle had previously been reported stolen by the Salisbury Police Department.

The trooper stopped the vehicle, and identified the occupants as 53-year-old Lisa Savage of Salisbury, Maryland, and 47-year-old Lavarr Holbrook of Seaford, Delaware. They were both taken into custody without incident.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, police located drug paraphernalia belonging to Savage. They also found approximately 1.53 grams of heroin and approximately 0.76 grams of crack cocaine concealed on Holbrook’s person.

Savage was charged with receiving stolen property less than $1500, possession of drug paraphernalia not related to marijuana, and driving without a valid license. She was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution (SCI) on a $3,200 cash bond.

Holbrook was charged with three drug offenses, including manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance. He was arraigned and committed to SCI on a $4,400 cash bond.
