SALISBURY, Md. – With the holidays right around the corner, City of Salisbury offices will be closed starting at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 24, and reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 29.

The Salisbury Zoo will be closed on Christmas Day, but reopen on Friday, Dec. 26 for all visitors. Plus, ring in the New Year a little early at the Zoo! This free, family-friendly event invites children and their families to enjoy a festive early ball drop, fun activities, and the joy of welcoming a new year together. The Ball Drop will take place at 11:59 a.m. on Dec. 31.

Then, for those who don’t mind staying up late, come to Downtown Salisbury this New Year’s Eve for live music, interactive activities, and the annual midnight ball drop. The celebration runs from 9:00 p.m. on Dec. 31 until 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2026.  We look forward to welcoming 2026 together!

Wishing all a safe and joyful holiday season!
