Groove City Preparing for Christmas Celebration

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – One Dorchester County group is getting ready to ring in the holidays with their own holiday celebration.

Groove City is getting ready for their 7th annual Christmas on Pine celebration this weekend in the 600 Block of Pine Street.

They’re planning on having Santa give out toys and gifts to the kids, as well as having live performances.

Groove City’s Veronica Taylor says they want people to be able to have an event where they feel welcome this holiday season.

“…And just have a joyous time and, you know, giving away gifts and stuff and being a part of the community, you know, doing a celebration because you never know who is celebrating the holiday season by themselves. So it gives the opportunity for those people to come out and just be a part of it, you know? Let’s celebrate together,” says Taylor.

The festivites will begin Saturday, December 13th, starting at 4 p-m.
