Dorchester Chorus Preparing for Annual Christmas Concerts
(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – And the members of the Chorus of Dorchester County are getting warmed up to put on a show this weekend.
The Chorus is holding a pair of free concerts Saturday and Sunday to celebrate the holiday season.
They’re expecting big turnouts at both Cambridge churches as they sing a variety of holiday songs.
We caught up with one member of the chorus about getting ready to sing as well as what this concert means to them.
“The chorus has been in existence for 50 years. I’m a newbie. I’ve only been part of this since the spring, but I absolutely adore going each year and singing each year. And, you won’t be disappointed,” says Chorus member, Marianne Maye.
Both concerts will start at 4 P.M. on Saturday and Sunday.
The Saturday concert is being held at Christ Episcopal Church in Cambridge at 215 High Street. While the Sunday is taking place at Immanuel Church of Christ, also in Cambridge, at 5401 Whitehall Road.
