Dorchester Chamber Foundation Opens Applications for Scholarship

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – As the year comes to an end, opportunity is just starting in Dorchester County.

The Dorchester Chamber of Commerce is opening applications for the Dorchester Chamber Foundation Scholarship.

It’s open to families of chamber members ages 16 to 21 years old, to help with continuing their education.

Chamber President Bill Christopher says a scholarship like this helps to breathe new life in to the community’s work force.

Bill tells WMDT, “And many of them have come back to Dorchester County and are working here, in the county now. And that’s really what we’re after is trying to to create, and improving the workforce and retaining talent. Folks that were from here finding that talent, giving them awards and encouraging them.”
