Cars Totaled After Head-On Crash in Millsboro

MILLSBORO, Del. – Multiple agencies responded to a head-on collision involving two cars on Wednesday evening.

At 6:01 p.m. on Dec. 10, crews from the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company were alerted to a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road and Ridgewood Road. It was reported that someone needed an ambulance. Crews from the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, Millsboro EMS, and the Sussex County Paramedics also responded to the scene.

Authorities believe that the vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on Long Neck Road near the sharp curve when they collided, causing significant damage to the cars.

Additional EMS personnel were requested, including both Advanced and Basic Life Support services. The condition of the drivers and any passengers is currently unknown.

Emergency crews worked to stabilize the involved vehicles and mitigate fluid and debris from the accident. The Delaware State Fire Police and Pot Nets Security assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police is investigating this crash.
