Cambridge Police Dept. Hosting Shop with a Cop

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – Cambridge law enforcement is preparing for their big holiday tradition as they host Shop with a Cop.

Throughout the week – Cambridge police officers will be taking ten kids a day to shop for presents, and they’ve been receiving tons of support from the community.

Police Chief Justin Todd says they even got one donation of over $4,000; which he’s hoping can be used to expand Shop with a Cop for a second week before the holiday season is over.

“It gives us the opportunity to expand shop with a cop. Started with just one day. We’re doing four days, throughout this week, to take kids, each day to to Walmart…” says Chief Todd

.Chief Todd says he’s working on putting together a similar program, which would include taking local seniors out for holiday shopping.
