Cambridge PD Speaks About Pedestrian Struck

 

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – Law enforcement in Cambridge are looking in to a Wednesday car accident that left one person seriously injured.

The accident happened in the early morning at the intersection of Poplar and Gay Streets.

A pedestrian was struck by a car, and is said to be in critical condition.

Cambridge Police are urging drivers, no matter what time of the day to stay aware of their surroundings.

“It is paramount to ensure that, we don’t have, you know, people aren’t distracted driving. They’re paying attention to what’s going on around them. And they’re certainly not rushing. They’re paying attention to to their surroundings and making sure that everybody is as safe as possible,” says Cambridge Police Captain, Ronald Hinson.

The investigation is still active at this time, and is being handled by the Maryland State Police.
