Two-Year-Old Killed in East New Market Crash
EAST NEW MARKET, Md. – The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) is investigating a crash that killed a two-year-old on Saturday morning.
On Nov. 8, DCSO deputies responded to a motor vehicle incident in the East New Market area. Upon arrival on the scene, deputies and emergency personnel arrived quickly and provided lifesaving care. The child was then transported to the Cambridge Emergency Room, where additional efforts were made by medical personnel.
Unfortunately, county officials say the child died from injuries sustained during the accident.
On social media, the Town of East New Market wrote, “Please pray for our local East New Market family that experienced a tragedy most of us couldn’t begin to fathom.”
At this time, no further details are being released as the incident remains under active investigation. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available and appropriate for release.
Officials say that the Maryland State Police Crash Team is assisting DCSO in their investigation.
