Two Somerset Co. EMS Workers Arrested for Sexual Abuse of Minor

PITTSVILLE, Md. – Two Somerset County emergency medical service (EMS) workers have been arrested for sexual abuse of a minor and other related charges, according to court documents obtained by WMDT.

Fifty-year-old Oliver Joseph Kennedy and 49-year-old Donald Mason Kennedy, brothers of Pittsville, were arrested on Nov. 4. The two men live in the same residence.

Oliver Kennedy faces two counts of sexual abuse of a minor, two counts of third degree sexual offense, two counts of second degree sexual assault, and two counts of fourth degree sexual offense. The charges all stem from a period of time spanning from Sept. 25, 2018 to Sept. 24, 2022.

Donald Kennedy faces two counts of sexual abuse of a minor by a household or family member, one count of sexual solicitation of a minor, one count of third degree sexual assault, two counts of second degree assault, and two counts of fourth degree sexual offense. The charges stem from two separate time periods; four of the charges originated between May 1, 2017 and Sept. 30, 2017. The other four charges stem from Sept. 25, 2021 to Sept. 24, 2022.

According to public social media accounts, Oliver Kennedy is employed as an emergency medical technician with Lower Somerset Ambulance and Rescue at Station 8. Donald Kennedy is employed as a paramedic with Somerset County EMS.

The two men have a preliminary hearing set for Dec. 4 at the Wicomico County District Court. They are both currently being held without bond.
