Three-Vehicle Crash in Millsboro Intersection Injures One
MILLSBORO, Del. – The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and Mid Sussex Rescue Squad responded to a three-vehicle accident on Monday morning.
At 5:28 a.m. on Nov. 17, crews responded to the intersection of Indian Mission Road, Long Neck Road and John J. Williams Highway.
A preliminary evaluation of the scene found that three vehicles were involved in a collision at or near the intersection. Two of the vehicles, a silver Toyota Matrix and another compact car, were located on Long Neck Road following the accident. The third vehicle, a brown Ford Fusion, was disabled in the middle of the westbound traffic lanes of John J. Williams Highway before the traffic light. One person was transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
Emergency response crews provided vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, patient stabilization and overall incident mitigation on the scene. The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.
The Delaware State Police are investigating this accident.
