Shop Small Downtown in this Week’s City Minute

SALISBURY, Md. – After enjoying your feast on Thursday, spend Saturday with the City celebrating the holiday season.

Start the afternoon by supporting local businesses during Shop Small Saturday in Downtown Salisbury from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Shop one-of-a-kind gifts, enjoy local eats and experience live entertainment and festive activities throughout the afternoon. Whether kicking off holiday shopping or simply enjoying a day Downtown, Shop Small Saturday is the perfect way to connect with neighbors and support local entrepreneurs. Celebrate the spirit here at home this holiday season—where every purchase, big or small, makes a difference!

Plus, enjoy various holiday activities like free horse and carriage rides, live music by Bay Brass, and a visit from Santa! Participating shops and restaurants will also offer exclusive promotions and special activities. And, while you are strolling about, be sure to vote for your favorite holiday window display during the Downtown Salisbury Window Decorating Contest, running until Nov. 30. Everyone who votes will be entered to win one of two Downtown Salisbury Prize Packs, sponsored by local businesses.

Next, make your way to City Park for the annual Jingle Jubilee Tree Lighting from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This is a family-friendly celebration that will feature an afternoon filled with festive entertainment, holiday activities and seasonal treats for all ages.

Families can look forward to holiday themed glow mini golf, train rides through City Park, free hot chocolate, and so much more. The evening will conclude with a countdown to the lighting of City Park, illuminating the park in a spectacular display of lights and transforming it into a dazzling winter wonderland.

To ensure public safety during the event, Main Street — from Ward Street to North Park Drive — will be closed to vehicular traffic.
